City Walks with Kids by Emily Laurence Baker

I migrated from early technical and project management roles, to the overall leadership and management of $500+million annual revenue major business segments within this company. I spent the majority of my career with a large, international consulting engineering, construction and operations/management company. I am a Civil Engineer by education and profession. In her free time, Ann enjoys camping, hiking, biking the trails around town, cooking, birding, craft projects, and all things nature. She most recently worked as a technician at a local eye clinic, where it was really rewarding to help restore vision to patients. Ann worked at Montana State University in several of the research labs and especially enjoyed helping graduate students design lab courses. In 2005, she decided to call Bozeman her home…drawn by the mountains and ample outdoor activities awaiting. This pivotal career change was prompted by a positive experience as a guest lecturer in a fourth grade science class where she realized her passion for education and hands-on learning experiences for students.

Ann went back to school to obtain her teaching credential with specialties in biology, chemistry, and math. Initially she worked in the biotechnology industry where she specialized in analytical chemistry and process development. Ann was born and raised in Colorado and graduated with a degree in Biology: Ecology, Behavior and Evolution from the University of California, San Diego.
